With support from Sentara Health, Virginia MOCA is excited to launch a new program designed specifically for the immunocompromised community. Please join us for special visiting hours on the first Friday of each month—registration required.
FIRST THURSDAY SERIES
Discover cool culture and canned cocktails at the Chrysler Museum of Art’s First Thursdays— an after-hours event from 6–9 p.m. Each month, explore a different theme and enjoy a laid–back atmosphere. First Thursdays offer the perfect occasion to meet new people, enjoy a free date night, get creative, or simply wind down the week. In addition to the galleries, the Museum Shop is open for retail therapy and Zinnia Café is open for good eats. This is your night!
Collaborations
WhoRiddle
What started as a parenting hack for a busy physician and research institute founder is now a fully developed app that brings people of all ages together solving riddles. The founder wrote the original “Who Am I” riddles for his young children to enjoy when they were bored, tired, hungry or feeling anxious. Their engagement while solving riddles together surprised him. Sharing that enchantment with riddle lovers is the why behind WhoRiddle.
CHYP
Creative Healing for Youth in Pain is an online nonprofit that provides free educational resources, peer connections, and creative healing experiences to bridge the gap for common healthcare barriers such as cost, geographic location, and long wait times for doctor appointments. This July, BGF is excited to join CHYP’s inclusive online summer camp for youth ages 13–18 living with chronic pain. We’ll lead a mindfulness and healing arts session, offering gentle practices to support emotional well-being and self-discovery.
