the portal story

Music didn’t change the outcome, but it changed the story.

Benjamin Goldberg was five when he first heard the word Neuroblastoma, a rare cancer that affects children.

Following his diagnosis and during years of treatment, music was a form of healing Ben prescribed just for himself. Ben had an innate sense of what he needed. He often reached for his headphones to feel calm and centered, and to express himself through music.

Ben’s powerful healing model is honored today through the Benjamin Goldberg Foundation (BGF) with the integration of clinical modalities and healing arts like music and movement.

BGF honors all the things that Ben knew make us whole right here on the POP—our online hub of resources, tools, and inspiration.
